Saathi

Community Guidelines

Last updated 10 October 2026

Saathi works when people feel safe being themselves. Whether you are here for something casual or for marriage, these rules apply to everyone — on your profile, in chats, on calls and when you meet.

Be real

Respect consent, always

Not allowed on Saathi

Anyone under 18

Saathi is for adults only. Any content that sexualises or endangers children leads to an immediate permanent ban and a report to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.

Nudity and sexual content in profiles

No nudity, underwear or swimwear shots that focus on private areas, or sexually explicit text in your profile.

Harassment, threats and hate

No bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation, or content attacking anyone because of religion, caste, community, race, ethnicity, region, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability or body type. No body-shaming or colourism.

Scams and money

Never ask a match for money, gifts, UPI transfers, loans, recharges, crypto or "investment opportunities". Do not promote businesses, MLM schemes or your social media for followers.

Commercial sex and solicitation

No escort services, paid companionship, "friendship clubs" or offering or asking for sex in exchange for money or gifts.

Violence and illegal activity

No content that promotes violence, self-harm, drugs, weapons or any other illegal activity, or that threatens public order or the sovereignty of India.

Dowry

Asking for or offering dowry is illegal under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. Do not mention it in your profile or conversations.

Spam and fake engagement

No bots, automated messages, copy-paste mass messaging, or selling or buying accounts or likes.

Moving things off the app

It is fine to swap numbers when you both feel ready. Be careful with anyone who pushes to move to WhatsApp, Telegram or another app very early — it is the most common sign of a scam. Saathi warns you when we detect this.

What happens when someone breaks the rules

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

Serious harm — including anything involving minors, threats of violence, sexual violence or non-consensual intimate images — results in an immediate ban, and we will preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement as Indian law requires.

If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal through our grievance process.

How to report

Tap the ⋯ menu on any profile or chat and choose Report. Reports are confidential — the other person is not told who reported them. Our team reviews reports around the clock and aims to act within 24 hours. If you are in danger, call 112 first.
