Child Safety Standards

Saathi is an adults-only app. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and trafficking.
Our standards
- 18+ only. Everyone must confirm a date of birth showing they are at least 18 at sign-up. Age is fixed after sign-up and cannot be lowered.
- Age signals. Our moderators and automated tools look for signs that a member may be under 18 in photos, bios and reports. Suspected minors are removed until they prove their age.
- Photo review. Every profile photo is checked by automated moderation before it is shown, with human review of anything flagged.
- Prohibited content. Any content that sexualises minors, any attempt to contact or groom a minor, and any request for or sharing of CSAM leads to an immediate permanent ban of every account we can link to the person.
- Evidence and reporting. We preserve the relevant content and account information and report it to Indian law enforcement as required by Section 19 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, and to other authorities where required. We remove such content immediately and do not wait for a court order.
- Training. Our trust and safety team is trained to recognise CSAE and to escalate it as the highest priority.
How to report
- In the app: open the profile or chat, tap ⋯ → Report and choose Underage user or the most relevant reason. Reports involving minors are reviewed first.
- By email: safety@saathi.app — please do not attach the illegal material itself; describe where you saw it.
- To authorities: cybercrime.gov.in (choose "Report Women/Child Related Crime"), helpline 1930, or Childline 1098. If a child is in immediate danger, call 112.
